citation entropy

Citation entropy (also known as the s- index) attempts to characterize the quality and impact of scientific researchusing an entropy model. It is calculated as

$$s=\frac{1}{4}\sqrt{C^P}e^{H^*},$$

where H* is the standardized Shannon entropy or

$$H^*=-\sum\limits_{i=1}^{P}{\left(\frac{C_i}{C^P}\log_2\frac{C_i}{C^P}\right)}.$$
