citations per year
This metric, also called the time-scaled citation index, is just the mean number of citations per year, calculated as the total number of citations of an author divided by their academic age (number of years since their first publication),
$$C^{TS}=\frac{C^P}{\text{academic age}}=\frac{C^P}{Y-Y_0+1},$$where \(Y\) is the current year and \(Y_{0}\) is the year of their first publication.
