h′-index
Properties
- Metric Type: Core Property
- Publication Focus: All Publications
- Citation Focus: All Citations, Core Citations, Tail Citations
Description
The h′-index (Zhang 2013) is a variant of the h-index, where h is scaled by the ratio of excess and tail citations relative to the core. It is measured as:
$$h^\prime=\frac{eh}{t}.$$where e is the e-index (the square root of the count of citations in the core above and beyond what is necessary to produce h) and t is the square root of all citations for publications in the tail (i.e., not in the core).
