- Citation Focus: Core Citations
Description
Gagolewski et al. (2022) suggested a variety of metrics that might be used to approximate the distribution of an author's citation vector, some of which were novel in a bibliometric context. p20 (which stems from economics) is the proportion of the total citations that occur in the top 20% of an author's publications. One could view it as the proportion of citations within the core, if the core were fixed as the top 20% of publications rather than defined in a manner more similar to the h-index.
